I see the sparks in the sky, today on the fourth of July, flashes of red and white, stand regal sharing the sky with the moon ,I honor survivers on what they have done , today is the birthday of our nation.
Above is a picture of me and my dance group. the name of our dance was So It Is. this dance portrayed a women who loved her husband dearly but couldn't see him very often due to her obligations of helping children do what they love. so a lot of times she had to sacrifice spending time with her husband to be apart of these kids lives. This dance represented an internal struggle to choose what she should do.
But this dance had two parts to it. The other part of the dance showed how valuable her time was with her husband when she did get to see him. "I cant take my eyes of you" as said in the chorus of the song was definitely portrayed in this piece as well. The joy the couple felt in each others presence was magical. During the dance the audience felt a number of emotions. Some cried some smiled but one thing is for certain this dance moved many viewers. |

I was inspired to capture this image at the KSU holocaust museum, because the butterfly looks as if it is in captivity and we as people don't usually see butterflies in doors. the butterfly also looks like it is glowing. This photo signifies all the life's that were lost and all the people that were kept in captivity during the holocaust. How their spirits craved for freedom, the butterfly in his picture crave for the same. |
